1) The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) of the NITI Aayog organized the fifth edition of the Women Transforming India (WTI) Awards.

➠The WTI Awards were conferred on 75 women achievers to celebrate their contribution towards a ‘Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat’. 

➠ The Women Transforming India Awards is NITI Aayog’s annual initiative to highlight the commendable and ground-breaking endeavours of India’s women leaders and change-makers.

2) Former India cricketer Suresh Raina was felicitated with the prestigious 'Sports Icon' award at the Maldives Sports Awards 2022.

3) Legendary javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia became the first para-athlete to receive the Padma Bhushan, the country's third-highest civilian award. 

➠ The 40-year-old Jhajharia received the prestigious award from President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

4) The 9th Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE-2022 between the Indian Army and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) is being conducted at Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA), Seychelles.

5) Indian development economist Jayati Ghosh has been appointed by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to a new high-level advisory board on effective multilateralism.

6) Jiya Rai has become the youngest and fastest female swimmer in the world to swim across the Palk Strait.

➠ Jiya Rai, an Indian para-swimmer, started swimming from Palk Strait, Talaimannar in Sri Lanka and in 13 hours she reached Arichalmunai in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu.

7) British satellite internet service provider OneWeb has chosen American space operator SpaceX to launch the remainder of its satellites with.

➠ OneWeb is part-owned by Indian telecom operator Bharti Group, along with the government of the United Kingdom.

8) Indian Institute of Technology Madras has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to launch a web-enabled, user-oriented program on "Industrial AI" that is targeted at upskilling employees incorporates the applications of AI to industrial problems.

11) International Day for the Right to the Truth is celebrated every year on March 24.

➠United Nations has recognised March 24 to be observed as the International Day for the Right to the Truth.

➠The day aims to pay tribute to those who have devoted their lives or lost their lives in, the struggle to promote and protect human rights for all.
