1) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released the third positive indigenisation list of defence equipment. 

➠ The list of 101 items comprises major equipment and weapon platforms and lays special emphasis on equipment, weapons and systems that are currently under development and likely to translate into firm orders during the next five years.


2) Union Minister of Education and Skill Development, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan released a book titled "Birsa Munda - Janjatiya Nayak". 

➠ The book has been written by Prof. Alok Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.


3) Ushering in a new era of administration in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually inaugurated 13 new districts, taking the total number of districts in the state to 26.

11) Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX founder topped Forbes’ list for the first time ever with a net worth of $219 billion. 

➠ Elon Musk is leading the Forbes billionaires list with a net worth of $219 billion, followed by Amazon chief Jeff Bezos at $171 billion.

➠Mukesh Ambani ranked at the 10th position on the global list, followed narrowly by fellow industrialist and Adani Group founder Gautam.


12) Noted poet and litterateur Prof Ramdarash Mishra will be awarded the prestigious Saraswati Samman, 2021, for his collection of poems ‘Mein to Yahan Hun’.

➠Instituted in 1991, Saraswati Samman is one of the most prestigious literary awards in the country.


13) Three of India’s cultural heritages namely Maharashtra’s Geoglyphs of Konkan Region, Meghalaya’s JingKieng Jri, and Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Veerbhadra Temple and Monolithic Bull (Nandi), have made it to the tentative list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, taking the total on the tentative list to 49.
