1) The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) successfully launched its earth observation satellite EOS-4 and two co-passenger technology demonstrator and scientific satellites from the first launch pad at the country’s only spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

2) Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura topped the list of States and Union Territories where journalists and media houses were targeted in 2021.

3) A scientist at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has been granted a patent for developing a green methodology for producing a medicinally important compound called Benzo[b]thiophene.
4) The Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation is conferred to the members of central investigation agencies or state/ UT police forces for excellence in an investigation.
➠ The medal was constituted in 2018 to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime.
5) The government of India has issued an order to ban 54 Chinese apps citing that these applications pose a threat to national security.
➠In June last year, India banned 59 Chinese mobile applications including TikTok, WeChat, and Helo.
6) Tata Sons has announced that Ilker Ayci has been appointed the CEO & MD of Air India.
➠Mr. Ayci was born in Istanbul in 1971. He is 1994 alumni of Bilkent University’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration.
7) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) launched the JIVA agroecology-based program, which will promote natural farming through its existing watershed and wadi programs in 11 states.

8) Surat is set to have its own swanky bullet train station by December 2024.
➠The bullet train station will be the first one built along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route.

10) Securities and Exchange Board of India has restructured its advisory committee on Investor Protection and Education Fund (IPEF), under the chairmanship of G Mahalingam.
➠The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is the regulatory body for securities and commodity market in India under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Finance , Government of India. It was established on 12 April 1988 and given Statutory Powers on 30 January 1992 through the SEBI Act, 1992.
11) The ministry of defence has signed up a design and development contract with a Bengaluru-based company to develop a High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS) which will be able to conduct surveillance operations and support communications.
12) The Government of Telangana and the British Council signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand higher education globally, enhance mobility, and share information and skills.
