5) Reliance Industries has completed the planned acquisition of a 40% equity stake in Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL).

6) The first Janshatabdi express train connecting the state of Manipur with Tripura via Assam started.

➨The train was flagged off byAshwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology through video link from Railway Board.

7) Rohtang tunnel or popularly known as Atal Tunnel which reduces the travel time and overall distance between Manali and Keylong on the way to Leh added another feather to its hat after it was officially recognised as the World's Longest Tunnel by World Books of Records in London.

8) The Centre has again appointed Vijay Paul Sharma as the chairman of Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP) after he relinquished the post in May last year following completion of the five-year tenure.

10) Gujarat’s Business hub Surat is all set to be India’s 1st Bullet Train Station as per the details shared by the Ministry of Railways. 

➨ Brining PM Modi’s vision of Bullet Train to fruition, Surat is being developed as the 1st Dedicated Bullet Train station that will be a major port for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project which is under development now.

11) Despite Covid-induced lockdowns keeping a large number of vehicles off the roads in 2021, Mumbai and Bengaluru have been ranked 5th and 10th in the global ranking of urban congestion during the period while Delhi and Pune occupied the 11th and 21st spots among 404 cities across 58 countries.

12) Rear Admiral  Atul Anand has taken charge as the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of National Defence Academy (NDA) located at  Khadakwasla. Anand has replaced Rear Admiral SK Grewal.
