1) A legendary Kathak maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj who was a leading exponent of the Kalka-Bindadin gharana of Lucknow, passed away at the age of 83. 

➨ A recipient of the country's second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, Maharaj ji was one of the most famous faces of India’s Kathak dancers all over the world.

2) Lakshya Sen defeated World Champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore 24-22, 21-17 to secure his maiden Super 500 title in the final of the men’s singles final at the Yonex-Sunrise India Open.

3) Union Minister of state science and technology , Dr Jitendra Singh launched Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven Start-Up by IIT alumni  for water purification through innovative technology. 

➨The facility aims to provide clean drinking water at a price much lesser than the market price.

4) Eminent social activist and Padma Shri awardee Shanti Devi passed away in Odisha's Rayagada.

➨Shanti Devi started her social work by founding an ashram at Gobarapalli locality in Rayagada. She worked for the development and education of tribal girls. Subsequently, she shifted to Gunupur and founded her now-famous ashram in 1964 to provide education to tribal girls.

5) India’s Navdeep Kaur has won the award for the Best National Costume at the prestigious Mrs World 2022 pageant in Nevada, Las Vegas.
