1) Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh took over as the flag officer commanding–in-chief (FOC-in-C) of the Western Naval Command (WNC) from Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar at a ceremonial parade held at INS Shikra.

2) The first edition of the India Young Water Professional Programme was launched virtually in the presence of Mr. Manpreet Vohra, Indian High Commissioner to Australia, Barry O’ Farrell, Australian High Commissioner to India.

➨This program has been taken up under National Hydrology Project, a Central Scheme of DOWR, and RD & GR and supported by the Australian Water Partnership.

3) The Haryana government appointed senior IAS officer Sanjeev Kaushal as the state's new chief secretary. 

➨Kaushal replaces Vijai Vardhan, who retired on September 30. He will be the 35th chief secretary of Haryana since it was carved out as a separate state in 1966.

4)Grameen Foundation India (GFI)  launched a special initiative 'Catalyst Award' under its MANDI (Market Enabled Access through Digital Innovation) project to support and develop the farmer producer organizations (FPOs) in Uttar Pradesh.

5) The International Press Institute (IPI) India Award for Excellence in Journalism-2021 has been awarded jointly to Sreenivasan Jain and Mariyam Alavi of NDTV, and Lakshmi Subramanian and Bhanu Praksh Chandra of The Week.

7) India-born Parag Agrawal has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Twitter. This comes after Jack Dorsey stepped down as the CEO of the microblogging site.

➨Agrawal is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Twitter.

➨ He has a doctorate in computer science from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

8) A Kerala-based medical technology startup Sascan Meditech has been adjudged the winner of Startup India Grand Challenge 2021 in the medical device category.

1. Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit India on December 6 to attend 21st India-Russia Annual Summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
