1446 – कोरियाई हंगल वर्णमाला का पहली बार प्रकाशन कोरिया में हुआ।

1558 – वेनेजुएला के मेरिदा शहर की स्थापना की गई।

1701 - येल यूनिवर्सिटी न्यू हेवेन में स्थापित किया गया।

1708 - स्वीडन और रूस की विश्व विख्यात लड़ाई जिसे डिनाइपर के नाम से जाना जाता है स्वीडन की पराजय के साथ समाप्त हुई।

1740 - डच राज्यपाल जनरल एड्रियान वाल्केनियर ने बताविआ के 8,000 चीनी निवासियों की हत्या की अनुमति दी।

1771 -  व्यापारी जहाज व्होवा मारिया फिनलैंड के तट के पास डूब गया।

1806 -  श्लेज़ की लड़ाई: फ्रेंको-प्रिशियन का पहला संघर्ष। प्रशियाई सेना को फ्रांसीसी सेना द्वारा आसानी से पराजित किया गया।

1812 -  1812 के युद्ध के दौरान लेफ्टिनेंट जेसी डंकन इलियट के तहत अमेरिकी नौसेना बलों ने दो ब्रिटिश युद्धपोतों, एचएमएस डेट्रायट और एचएमएस कैलेडोनिया को पकड़ लिया।

1855 – अमेरिकी आविष्कारक इसहाक सिंगर ने सिलाई मशीन मोटर का पेटेंट कराया।

1870 – राजज्ञा के माध्यम से रोम को आधिकारिक रूप से इटली में शामिल किया गया।

1874 – स्विट्जरलैंड के बर्न में वर्ल्ड पोस्टल यूनियन की स्थापना की गई।

1874 – सभी देशों के बीच पत्रों का आवागमन और जनरल पोस्टल यूनियन के गठन हेतु बर्न, स्विटजरलैंड में 22 देशों ने एक संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किये। तभी से 9 अक्टूबर को विश्व डाक दिवस के रूप में मनाना शुरू हुआ।

1876 – स्कॉटिश वैज्ञानिक अलेक्जेंडर ग्राहम बेल और उनके सहयोगी थॉमस वाट्सन ने पहली बार लंबे समय तक टेलीफोन पर बातचीत की। दोनों के बीच दो मील की दूरी थी। इसके बाद 1947 में चलती हुई कार और प्लेन में बैठे दो लोगों ने बातचीत की थी।

1888 – अमेरिका के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति जार्ज वाशिंगटन की याद में बनाये गये वाशिंगटन स्मारक को जनता के लिए पहली बार खोला गया।

1914 – प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जर्मनी की सेना ने बेल्जियम के एंटवर्प पर कब्जा किया।

1930 – अमेरिका में पहली महिला पायलट लॉरा इंगल्स अकेले अंतरमहाद्वीपीय उड़ान को पूरा करके कैलिफोर्निया के ग्लेनडेल में उतरी।

1942 – स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बीबी अमर कौर ने लाहौर जेल गेट पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया। उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर अंबाला जेल भेजा गया।

1946 – वर्जीनिया के पीट्सबर्ग में पहले इलेक्ट्रिक कंबल की बिक्री हुई।

1949 – स्वतंत्र भारत के पहले गवर्नर सी. राजगोपालाचारी ने आधिकारिक रूप से प्रादेशिक सेना का उद्घाटन किया।

1959 – ऑटोरिक्शा और प्लेन में चलते हुए लोगों ने बात की।

1962 – पूर्वी अफ्रीकी देश यूगांडा ब्रिटेन से स्वतंत्र हुआ।

1976 – इंटरनेशनल डायरेक्ट डायलिंग सेवा की बम्बई (अब मुंबई) और लंदन के बीच शुरु।

1998 – पाकिस्तान की नेशनल असेंबली ने इस्लामी शरीयत कानून को देश के सर्वाच्च कानून के रूप में अनुमोदित किया।

1997 - इटली के अभिनेता और लेखक डारियो फो को साहित्य का नोबल पुरस्कार दिया गया।

1998 - पाकिस्तान की नेशनल असेंबली ने इस्लामी शरीयत क़ानून को देश के सर्वाच्च क़ानून के रूप में अनुमोदित किया।

2002 - वर्ष 2002 का भौतिकी का नोबेल पुरस्कार अमेरिका के रैमण्ड डेविस और जापान के कोषिबा को संयुक्त रूप से देने की घोषणा की गई।

2005 - यूरोपीय उपग्रह 'क्रायोसेट' का प्रक्षेपण विफल।

2019 - रसायन विज्ञान के लिए 2019 का नोबल पुरस्‍कार लिथियम आयन बैटरी के क्षेत्र में विकास के लिए तीन वैज्ञानिकों को संयुक्‍त रूप देने की घोषणा हुई।

2019 - इजराइल के पुरातत्वविदों ने तेल अवीव में 5 हजार साल पुराने शहर की खोज किए जाने की घोषणा ।

2020 - विश्‍व खाद्य कार्यक्रम को भूखमरी का मुकाबला करने के लिए वर्ष 2020 के लिए नोबेल शांति पुरस्‍कार देने की घोषणा की गई।

2020 - डीआरडीओ ने स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित एंटी रेडिएशन मिसाइल (रुद्रम) का ओडिशा के तट से दूर व्हीलर द्वीप पर सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया।

▪️1624 - मुराद बख़्श - शाहजहाँ और मुमताज़ महल (नूरजहाँ) का सबसे छोटा पुत्र था।

▪️1826 - राजा लक्ष्मण सिंह - हिन्दी साहित्य के इतिहास से जुड़े सुप्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार थे।

▪️1873 - विलियम एस मारिस - भारत सरकार के गृह विभाग के कार्यवाहक सचिव।

▪️1877 - गोपबंधु दास - प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, पत्रकार, कवि, साहित्यकार तथा उड़ीसा के प्रख्यात सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता।

▪️1897 - मिनजुर भक्तवत्सलम - स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री, तमिलनाडु।

▪️1945 - प्रसिद्ध भारतीय सरोद वादक उस्ताद अमजद अली खान का जन्म हुआ।

▪️1963 - सैफुद्दीन किचलू - एक भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, वकील, व भारतीय राष्ट्रवादी मुस्लिम नेता थे (शांति पुरस्कार से सम्मानित प्रथम भारतीय पुरुष)।

▪️1967 - अर्जेन्टीना के मार्क्सवादी क्रांतिकारी चे ग्वेरा का निधन हुआ।

▪️1982 - कश्मीर के नेता शेख अब्दुल्ला का निधन।

▪️2006 - कांशीराम - भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ और समाज सुधारक थे। 1971 में इन्होंने अखिल भारतीय पिछड़ा और अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों कर्मचारी महासंघ (बामसेफ) और 1984 में बहुजन समाज पार्टी (बसपा) की स्थापना की।

11) An Indian-American astronaut is part of NASA-SpaceX's third mission to the International Space Station.

➨ NASA's SpaceX Crew-3 mission will carry NASA astronauts Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn, and Kayla Barron as well as ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Matthias Maurer aboard a Crew Dragon spacecraft on a Falcon 9 rocket to the space station.

➨The four astronauts will lift off to space on October 30 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

12) India's Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar smashed the finals world record to win gold in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event at the ISSF Junior World Championships.

➨Aishwary's gold was India's eighth at the World Championships, which is being held in Lima, Peru. India are the runaway leaders in the Worlds this year with 17 medals overall. Second-placed USA have won 12 medals with four golds.

14) Assam Minister for Fisheries, Environment and Forest and Excise Parimal Suklabaidya launched Fishwaale, India’s first e-fish market app.
