2) To combat air pollution in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a 10-point "winter action plan" that focuses on dust control, using the Pusa bio-decomposer, installing smog towers and checking waste burning and vehicular emissions.

3) US-Japanese scientist Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann of Germany and Giorgio Parisi of Italy won the Nobel Physics Prize for climate models and the understanding of physical systems.

4) India took its tally of gold medals at the ISSF Junior World Championship to six with wins in the Air Pistol men's and women's team events.

➨ This was the third gold medal for Manu at this year's competition after already claiming the top spot in individual and mixed team Air Pistol events.

5) Bangladesh Naval Ship (BNS) Somudra Avijan has arrived Visakhapatnam today on a five-day visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC). 

➨This visit by the Bangladesh Navy is to commemorate Swarnim Vijay Varsh marking the 50th anniversary of 1971 Indo-Pak war, which led to liberation of Bangladesh.

6) Over 800 Indian peacekeepers serving in the U.N. mission in South Sudan have been honoured with a prestigious U.N. medal for their service on completion of their deployment.

7) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched an innovative project of electricity production by using cow dung.
